Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Cancelling before work starts
If you cancel your order before we've begun any translation, revision or preparation work, you receive a full refund of any amount paid, with no cancellation fee. Tell us as soon as you can, by replying to your order confirmation email or writing to support@finesttranslations.com.
2. Cancelling once work has begun
Once translation has started, the proportion of the order already completed is chargeable, and only the remaining, uncompleted proportion is refunded. We'll tell you honestly how far the work has progressed before confirming any refund amount.
3. Certified & sworn translation already issued
Once a sworn translation has been stamped, signed and issued by the appointed sworn translator, it has been delivered as a legal instrument and cannot be refunded or cancelled, in the same way a notarised document cannot be "returned." If there's an error in it, see the next point.
4. Our error, free of charge
If a document is delivered with an error or omission on our side, we correct it free of charge. If correction isn't possible or doesn't resolve the issue, we refund the affected part of the order.
5. Your 14-day right of withdrawal
As a consumer ordering from the EU, you generally have 14 days from the date of your order to withdraw without giving a reason, under Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007. Because most of our services begin as soon as you confirm your order — so that we can meet the turnaround stated at checkout — placing an order constitutes your express request for us to begin performance immediately. If you exercise your withdrawal right after work has started, the points above apply: you pay only for the proportion of work already carried out at the time you tell us you're withdrawing, per Article 108 of RDL 1/2007.
6. How to request a cancellation or refund
Email support@finesttranslations.com with your order reference, or call +34 670 325 050 during office hours (Mon–Fri 08:00–18:00, Sat 09:00–16:00). We confirm the outcome, and any refund amount, within 1 business day.
7. How refunds are paid
Refunds are paid back by the same method used to settle the order (bank transfer, under this site's current checkout), normally within 14 days of confirming the refund.
