1. Who we are
finesttranslations, based at Avinguda de Campanar 130, Campanar, 46015 València, Spain, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at support@finesttranslations.com or +34 670 325 050.
2. What data we collect
Depending on how you use this site, we collect: your name, email address and phone number; your company name, if you give it; the details of your enquiry or order (service requested, source and target language, document type, approximate length, deadline, and any message or notes you provide); at checkout, your billing address and country and, if you choose certified hard-copy delivery, a delivery address; and basic technical/usage data through Google Analytics 4, but only once you have given analytics consent through the cookie banner.
We do not collect payment card data. This site's checkout is a demonstration flow: no card number, expiry date or security code is requested, stored or transmitted anywhere in it, and real orders are settled by bank transfer or invoice, confirmed by email.
3. Why we process it, and on what basis
We use your contact and order details to reply to your enquiry and to prepare, confirm and deliver a translation, interpreting, transcription or subtitling order — this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform that contract once agreed (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We use billing details to meet our invoicing obligations under Spanish tax law (Article 6(1)(c)). We use analytics cookies only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time from the cookie preferences link in the footer. We may also process data to prevent fraud or abuse of the enquiry and checkout forms, on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure (Article 6(1)(f)).
4. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to respond to you and, if no order follows, for a limited period afterwards in case you get back in touch. Where an order is placed, we keep the related contract and invoicing data for the period required by Spanish commercial and tax law (generally up to six years under Article 30 of the Spanish Commercial Code). Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics 4's standard retention settings and is deleted or anonymised on the same schedule.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run this site and this business — our hosting provider, and, only after you consent to analytics cookies, Google (Google Analytics 4). These providers act as processors and are bound to use your data only as we instruct. We do not share your data with any payment processor, because no live payment system is connected to this checkout.
6. International transfers
Google Analytics 4 may transfer data to the United States. Where it does, Google relies on the mechanisms recognised under GDPR for such transfers (including the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses). This only applies once you have given analytics consent.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR and the LOPDGDD, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data we hold about you, ask for a portable copy of it, and object to our processing of it. Where processing is based on consent (analytics cookies), you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. To exercise any of these rights, email support@finesttranslations.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD), Calle Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, or at www.aepd.es.
8. Cookies
This site uses cookies. Necessary cookies are always on; analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) load only if you consent, and you can change your choice at any time from "Cookie preferences" in the footer. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including secure file transfer for documents you send us and access controls on the systems that hold your data — appropriate to the personal data we handle.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we'll update this page and its "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
